A Southern Humboldt man was shot and then abducted from his home by eight gunmen this past Friday. Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Ranch Sequoia home of the 25-year old man by two of his guests. According to deputies, the guest were on an upstairs balcony of the home when they allegedly heard a vehicle drive up, men get out and start pounding on the downstairs door shouting commands. Several gunshots were fired. When the guests went downstairs to see what happened, they allegedly found the eight men all dressed in camouflage, armed with rifles who tied them to a tree and threatened to kill them if they said anything. The eight men then abducted the 25-year old victim. At some point he was let go. Sheriff’s deputies say they received a call from the Jerold Phelps Hospital in Garberville at 3 am, saying a man had come in with gunshot wounds. When deputies responded they found the 25-year-old victim who is expected to live. Anyone who has information regarding this case is asked to notify the sheriff’s office immediately at (707)445-7251.
