State sponsored art contest for 4th & 5th graders

NORTH COAST - The California Arts Council invites 4th and 5th grade students throughout the state to participate in a contest to create a poster with water conservation as the theme.

The contest supports the State Drought Task Force' efforts and Governor Brown’s goal of awakening all Californians to the urgency of the drought and conservation.

This is the first time the arts council and the state have collaborated on such an initiative. Through the contest, students are invited to invent fun and unique ways to reduce water use, and illustrate their best idea with an original poster design.

Entries must be submitted by March 31, 2015. Details of the contest can be found at: www.arts.ca.gov/conservation
