Stockpile of stolen property found in Arcata storage unit
ARCATA- A traffic stop in Arcata led to a stockpile of stolen goods Tuesday.
During a routine traffic stop in the valley west area, police officers discovered several items of stolen property. The driver, 25-year-old Vincent McKenny of McKinleyville revealed that he was traveling to a nearby storage unit at the time. There, officers found more stolen property along with butane and drug paraphernalia. Among the stolen goods, officers found property from six recent burglaries in the area.
McKenny was on probation for theft related offences when he was stopped. He was booked into the county jail on possession of burglary tools, stolen property, drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.
