EUREKA- A stolen vehicle pursuit ends in a crash with one person arrested. According to the Eureka Police Department Michelle McDaniel, 22, was driving an unreported stolen car that she admitted to stealing late Sunday night. When officers attempted to pull her over Monday morning for a speeding violation, she took off and ran a stop sign, and then crashed into a curb on F Street.

McDaniel fled from the car on foot and into a nearby store where officers eventually arrested her. Police also found evidence of heroin inside of the vehicle. She was arrested on charges of evading an officer and possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Humboldt County Jail.
