Stray bullet hits vehcile
A bullet hits a man’s car as he’s driving north on Highway 101 near Redway. It happened Thursday night around 8 o’clock. A man driving near the exit on HWY 101 at Hooker Creek Road heard something strike his vehicle. Since there were no other cars in the area and no windows were broken, he continued driving.
When he pulled over to get gas in Fernbridge, he saw what appeared to be a bullet hole at the rear drivers’ side of his jeep and about 4-feet from where he was sitting.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded and are investigating the crime as a possible assault with a firearm.
It is unknown at this time if the bullet was a stray from someone target shooting or intentional.
