Supervisor Bass kicks off re-election campagin
EUREKA- Humboldt county board of supervisor Virginia Bass kicked off her re-election campaign Friday in front of the Humboldt County courthouse.
Bass first ran for 4th District Supervisor back in 2010. During her term Bass says she focused on creating a better working relationship between the County of Humboldt, the City of Eureka, and the Harbor District,
“The working relationship between the County of Humboldt, the City of Eureka and the Harbor District has vastly improved. Through my efforts as well as those of fellow elected and staff members in all three entities, we have made great progress in our collaborative efforts leading to improvements in the areas of Economic Development, Resource Protection and Public Safety. Additionally, we took the necessary steps to provide our County with a planning and building department that is truly in touch with the needs of our community,” she said.
“While I am proud of what has been accomplished, I am aware that there is still much to be done and I am not only confident but look forward to continue to work towards making Humboldt County an even better place for us all.” Bass said.
