Supervisors Looking For Solutions For Elk River Community
The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors are facilitating a meeting between various stakeholders and residents in the Elk River area. Residents came to the supervisors last spring about their concerns over flooding in the community.
Community members said they see flooding in the area that results in property damage, worsening water quality, and loss of Coho spawning habitat.
1st District Supervisor Rex Bohn and 4th District Supervisor Virginia Bass will attend the meeting and listen to presentations and discuss possible solutions.
The meeting will be at the Agriculture Extension meeting room in Eureka from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
