Supervisors to review financial forecast report, plastic bag resolution

At Tuesday's meeting the board of supervisors will review a five year financial forecast report, looking ahead at the county's predicted financial condition. Although Humboldt County is expected to bring in an estimated $8.8 million from a half cent sales tax starting April 1. The report still indicates that the county is not expected to get out of the red. Also at Tuesday's meeting, the supervisors will take a step forward combating the use of plastic bags.
They will vote on a resolution encouraging businesses in the unincorporated areas to voluntarily implement measures to reduce usage of single-use plastic bags.
