Suspect in Crescent City armed robbery identified by police
The following is a press release from the Crescent City Police Department:
Saturday, August 17, 2013, at approximately 7:01 AM the Subway Sandwich Shop, located at 850 Hwy 101 North was the scene of an armed robbery and a press release was disseminated to alert the public.
The Crescent City Police Department (CCPD) has identified an individual wanted in connection with the early morning armed robbery of a Subway Store in Crescent City, as well as the attempted murder of a peace officer and several counts of auto theft by force. Zachary Scott, DOB 09/25/80 is described as a 33 year old white male adult, 5’7” tall, 135 lbs, slender build, with numerous tattoos on his body, including both hands and the left side of his neck. Clothing worn during the crimes maybe different and he may be sporting a goatee. The public is advised that this individual is considered armed and dangerous.
The CCPD is asking anyone with information to come forward to assist law enforcement in the apprehension of the perpetrator. If seen, the public is cautioned not to attempt contact with suspect but to immediately contact any local law enforcement agency.
