Suspects in Arcata stabbing death of 50-year-old in court
EUREKA- Attorney's for the trio arrested in connection to the stabbing death of a 50-year-old Arcata man have been granted more time to prepare for their preliminary hearing. On Thursday the three suspects were in court when attorney's asked the judge for more time to interview the suspects families.
The three suspects were arrested in December by the Arcata Police Department. Nicholas Benjamin Stoiber, 28, and and Sophie Buttercup Rocheleau, 24, are not in custody and are facing assault charges. Juan Joseph Ferrer, 35, has been charged with homicide and allegedly stabbed Douglas Allen Anderson-Jordet in the heart with a knife in November.
The three will appear in court on February 18th.
