Teachers Honored For Working With Autistic Children
Ten local educators were awarded iPads and cash prizes to help in their classrooms working with autistic children. Families Advocating Autism Now awarded the teachers Thursday night.
Fatima Naylor, the Director of FAAN said iPads touch screen and color display can help students with autism
"Autism is on the rise, exponentially, and in the local level we need to support children with autism," said Naylor.
FAAN is a local organization working to educate the community on autism. They work with families with autistic children and make donations to school districts for education. Superintendents and principles from local school districts where at the ceremony to help honor the instructors.
