Three arrested in McKinleyville on drug and outstanding warrant charges
Sheriff’s deputies served a search warrant in McKinleyville and arrested three adults. Members of the Humboldt County Drug Task Force arrived at the 2200 block of Walnut Avenue in McKinleyville around 7 am this morning.
They found five adults and six children living in the single story residence. The children ranged in ages from nine months to fourteen years of age. Thirty two year old Valerie Drake was found sleeping with two of her children and in possession of Hydrocodone not prescribed for her and Methamphetamine. Money, packing materials and scales were also found. Thirty year old Casey Cooper was found in a spare bedroom allegedly trying to throw a small package of Methamphetamine out the window. Another male subject, Ryan Hill was located sleeping on the couch. He was arrested for three outstanding warrants. Drake and Cooper were taken into custody for various possession and drug charges. All three were booked into the Humboldt County jail. The children were released into Child Welfare Protective Services.
