Three construction workers injured in collapse at Willits Bypass Project
WILLITS- A collapse at the Willits Bypass Project sent three construction workers to the hospital.
Caltrans officials confirm just before 2:30 on Thursday afternoon, three construction workers with a Caltrans contractor, Flatiron West Inc., were injured when a 150-foot section of false-work collapsed while crews were pouring concrete. False-work is made of wood and steal and supports the concrete during construction. Caltrans representatives say the injuries do not appear to be life threatening and the workers were transported to a nearby hospital. All other workers in the area are accounted for and Caltrans Bridge Specialists will begin the investigation on the collapse on Friday.
