Traffic stop in Orick leads Deputies to 14 pounds of Marijuana

Orick - A traffic stop on Monday has resulted in a large amount of marijuana. A Colfax man was pulled over after law enforcement noticed him driving erratically on Highway 101 in Orick. Deputies arrested 39-year-old Brian Keith MacPhetridge.

After an investigation, MacPhetridge was found to be driving on a suspended license, driving without a license and in possession of 14-pounds of marijuana. He was booked into the Humboldt County Jail and charged with transportation and possession of marijuana and driving without a valid drivers license. Bail was set at $25,000.
