EUREKA- The alleged gunman in a fatal Southern Humboldt shooting last July will have to wait another week to begin a jury trial.
Matthew Brown of San Bernardino County is accused of killing 49 year old Alderpoint resident Neil Decker in the Rancho Sequoia area. Brown's trial was scheduled to begin on Monday, January 12, but in court on Friday, that date was pushed back because there was not a courtroom available to hear the matter.
Brown's case will appear in court again next Friday, January 17. If there is a court available, his trial will begin January 19.
Brown is charged with one count of murder and two special allegations for the intentional use of a firearm and use of that weapon resulting in death. He is currently being held on a $1 million bail.
