EUREKA- A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital with moderate injuries after being hit head-on by a small truck in Eureka.
Emergency personnel were called to the corner of Wabash and Pine Streets just before 6 this evening. Authorities say a man driving westbound on Wabash came to a stop, let one vehicle pass and proceeded to turn South on Pine. It was then he hit a motorcyclist traveling the opposite way.
The rider sustained moderate injuries and was taken to St. Joseph Hospital. Although DWI does not appear to be a factor, the investigation is ongoing.
