The Salvation Army will host the 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl Saturday to encourage people to purchase and donate turkeys. The event will be held at the Grocery Outlet on 625 Commercial Street in Eureka from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Salvation Army hopes to collect more than a hundred turkeys at this years event. The turkeys are part of a larger food basket that is given to families who may not be able to afford the holiday food.
Lt. Timothy Danielson, Eureka Salvation Army officer said the event is a "win, win."
