Two arrested dated during alleged sexual assault with minor

ARCATA- The man and woman arrested this week for allegedly sexually assaulting a minor dated during the incident. According to Arcata Police the woman was introduced to the teenage victim by the man she was dating.

On December 13 a victim came forward to the Arcata Police Department and reported being sexually assaulted over the period of three years. Sgt. Ron Sligh said the department identified 53-year-old John Andrew Wiesendanger, of Eureka, as the suspect. Sligh said in the course of the investigation a second suspect was found connected with the sexual assault. Kathleen Conrad, 50,  was arrested in Crescent city.

"The male had arranged a sexual encounter between the adult female and the juvenile male," said Sligh.
