Two Fortuna High School students investigated for sexual assault
FORTUNA- Fortuna High School and the sheriff’s office are investigating a possible sexual assault involving three Fortuna High students.
The school reported the incident Monday to the sheriff’s office, alleging a teenage female student was assaulted by two male students Saturday evening in Loleta. No arrests have been made at this time and the identities of the students have not been released.
The school district declined to answer additional questions but issued the following statement saying quote:
“As always, the Fortuna Union High School District is concerned for the safety and well-being of all students. We are cooperating with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department as it proceeds with its investigation.”
