Two Hoopa Police vehicles collide during vehicle pursuit

HOOPA- Two Hoopa Valley Tribal Police officers sustained minor injuries this week after a vehicle pursuit turned into a collision.

Around 7:30 Monday night Tribal Police received reports of shots fired from a vehicle at their dispatch center. Two police vehicles began pursuing a possible suspect on State Route 96. While making a u-turn near Hostler Field Housing, one police vehicle collided with the other, causing minor injuries.

Both officers were taken to mad river community hospital and were later released. The suspect has not been located.
