Two pipes rupture in Humboldt leaving some without water today
Some residents in Humboldt County may have experienced a water outage today. Authorities said that two pipes burst over the night.
The Humboldt Bay Municipal Water District said that a leak was found in a Fairhaven pipe around 3 a.m. near the Lindstrom Avenue and Bendixon Street. Officials said that customers in that area shouldn’t have been affected.
A second rupture was found in Eureka’s main distribution line. Some residents in the immediate area did experience an outage. Crews were working at Wabash and C Street for most of the morning and afternoon trying to seal the line. It’s unsure what caused that pipe to burst.
Is the Bureau of Reclamation waiting too long to release water into the Trinity River?
