BURNT RANCH- The Ammon fire burning off Highway 299 in the Burnt Ranch area has been contained. According to the Six Rivers National Forest, as of Wednesday morning crews are still patrolling the area for possible hot spots. The fire was reported around 6 p.m. Tuesday night near the Gray Falls Campground. The blaze burned about an acre of vegetation. No structures were threatened. The cause is still under investigation.
