The Red Wildland Fire continues to burn as fire officials work to put out the blaze.
The Red fire began on Saturday at about 12:30 p.m. It’s located in the snow camp area and has burned over 330 acres. Nearly 450 fire personnel including Cal Fire, local agencies, Redwood National Park, the Forest Service and the Department of Corrections are currently battling the fire. Officials with Cal Fire say the weather has become more favorable for containing the blaze. The fire is currently 65 percnt contained with full containment expected by Thursday.
