Vigil held in memory of Humboldt State stabbing victim
ARCATA – Some say helpful, a friend, a mentor, and an inspiration in the community. Those are just a few of the characteristics that 19-year-old, criminal justice David Josiah Lawson possessed before his life was taken on April 15th. He was stabbed multiple times by 23-year-old, Mckinleyville resident, Kyle Christopher Zoellner who was arrested at the scene of the homicide.
For Lawson, a vigil held in his honor on the Humboldt State Campus.
Mother, Charmaine Lawson says she want’s those to remember her son for what he did and how he was as a person.
Lawson’s younger sister, Chloe Jordan says that he was not only a great brother, but her best-friend.
Younger brother Anthony Lawson looked up to his older brother as inspiration.
A great asset in building bridges among students in the community says Humboldt State President Dr. Lisa Rossbacher.
This is still an ongoing investigation. The Arcata Police Department says that any information provided will help in the case.
