WEAVERVILLE - A Dinsmore man wanted by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department for assault was found yesterday in Trinity County. 60-year old Harry Robert Schultz was taken into custody by deputies after being located at a motel in Weaverville.
Last Wednesday, Schultz allegedly assaulted a friend who was building a cabin for the suspect off of Bear Creek Road in Dinsmore. During breakfast for unknown reasons, Schultz allegedly hit the victim several times over the head with the blunt end of a hatchet and then disappeared.
He will be transported back to Humboldt County in the next few days and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Bail is set at $100,000.
