Eureka-Mother's strolled through Old Town and Downtown wearing their babies on Thursday. The 'Wear Your Baby Walk' was hosted by the local Women Infant and Children program and Public Health office to promote the benefits of wearing infants.
Organizers said there are multiple benefits like freeing up parents hands, calms infants and helps breast feeding. At the event were low calorie refreshments to promote healthy drinking habits.
WIC hopes the event will promote the cause and get more parents to carry their babies and become more active.
