Weather causes flight cancellations and delays at airport
MCKINLEYVILLE - The brunt of the storm front that has hit the North Coast canceled flights in and out of the Arcata-Eureka Airport.
Sky West Airlines who contracts for United out of ACV had to cancel several flights due to low ceilings and weather making difficult air traffic control conditions.
Flights were canceled Wednesday afternoon at 12:15, 1:39, 2:05 and 3:27. Several other flights were delayed nearly 2-hours. Once heavy weather stopped, flights were getting in. The Wednesday 9:06 pm arrival was about 15 minutes early. However, the late flight at 11:56 pm was canceled.
