Weitchpec man holds alleged burglars at gunpoint for law enforcement
WEITCHPEC - A Weitchpec man held four suspects at gunpoint after they allegedly burglarized his home.
Arrested were 29-year old Daniel Peck, 31-year old Katrina Inong, 34-year old Sally Ferris and 29-year old Don Suagi Colegrove. Around 3 am Thursday, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a residence on Lake Prairie Road. A caretaker alerted the property owner that the four suspects who had been allowed to remove a vehicle from the property had allegedly stolen items from the home.
When the property owner arrived, the suspects tried to flee in a vehicle. The owner used a gun to shoot out the tires and held the suspects at bay until authorities arrived. Peck, Inong, Ferris and Colegrove all were booked into the Humboldt County jail for burglary. Bail was set at $75,000.
