The “Corral Complex” wildfires caused by lightning has now burned through Hoopa Valley Tribe ancestral territory.
Smoking conditions filled the area this week. Officials from the Hoopa Valley Tribe tell us that the fire is only a mile away from the reservation border, and today the tribe has teamed up with the U.S. Forest Service to help contain the blaze. A community meeting will be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. for Hoopa residents, at the Hoopa Wild land Fire Building.
