HUMBOLDT COUNTY- The Winter DUI Crackdown is just about over and officials with the Avoid the 8 DUI Task Force confirm arrests are down from last year by more than 50 percent.
The task force has conducted saturation patrols as well as DUI and driver’s license checkpoints across the county since the campaign began on December 12th. Thirty-four people have been arrested in Humboldt County for driving under the influence as of Thursday morning. Last year, during the same time period, 77 arrests were made. The Winter DUI Crackdown ends at midnight on Thursday night.
