Witnesses refuse to testify; Trial of double murder suspect Bodhi Tree
EUREKA- Two witnesses are now held in civil contempt after refusing to testify for the trial of double murder suspect Bodhi Tree.
Witnesses, Steve Upton and Melvin Matthews will both be held in the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for refusing to testify.
Matthews was the original suspect of the attempted murder by the Eureka Police Department. Upton, a friend of the attempted murder suspect, Rhett August, was at the victim's home the night of the shooting.
Both suspects, who are in custody for other crimes, were granted immunity agreements for their testimony, but both still refused.
