EUREKA - A Eureka woman is taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in a care facility parking lot.
This was the scene Thursday, just after 6 pm at the Granada Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. An employee with the nursing home was walking in the lot when she was hit by a car driven by a 67-year-old Eureka resident. He told police he was driving 5 to 10 miles per hour, did not see the employee but heard and felt a bump on his Honda Civic.
Authorities say he did not appear to be under the influence and the employee was transported to Saint Joseph Hospital for a possible fractured leg.
