Woman stabbed during assault near Myrtletown in Eureka
EUREKA - Law enforcement was called to St. Joseph Hospital Wednesday night after a reported stabbing.
Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies say a 20-year old female was walking near 18th and Quaker Streets near Myrtletown when a grey 4-door Honda-like vehicle pulled up beside her and a male suspect shouted “Get her purse.” A female joined in the assault and during the struggle the victim was stabbed in the neck. She attempted to get herself to the hospital, and was helped by an unknown good Samaritan.
The suspects were unknown to the victim and are described as a white male and female in their 20’s. Both had short brown hair. The male was wearing a red jacket. The female had a grey t-shirt and black stretch pants.
