Yurok Tribe to build new Visitor's Center and Amphitheater
A multi million-dollar project with the Yurok Tribe is breaking ground within the Redwood National and State Parks.
It’s part of an extensive economic development initiative to revitalize the economy of the Yurok Reservation and downtown Klamath.
The project will take the form of a Visitors Center and Amphitheater and will be used to educate local citizens and travelers about the traditions and culture of the tribe, life along the Klamath River and Redwood Coast. The thirty five hundred square foot Visitors Center and Amphitheatre will be built in downtown Klamath and within walking distance to Redwood Hotel Casino.
Groundbreaking will be this Wednesday, April 9th at 9:30 am. at the construction site at the corner of Klamath Blvd and Klamath Circle. For more information call: 707-482-1350.
