FERNDALE- For the first time in 26 years, the Ferndale varsity football program has a new leader. Longtime assistant Jeremy Griffith takes over for Kim Jorgensen who retired back in May.

Griffith played for the Wildcats and graduated from Ferndale in 1994. He takes over a team that was second in league and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Division 5 Playoffs.

They lost only five players to graduation and have speed on both sides of the ball.

There is a three-way battle at starting quarterback between Landon Gomes, Kyler Beckstead and Jackson Wagner.
