Water Main On Eureka’s 4th Street To Be Replaced

EUREKA – City of Eureka will spend more than half a million dollars to replace an aging water main.

Council approved the plan at its regular meeting Tuesday night. The water main under 4th street is a concrete asbestos pipe and has been slated for replacement for some time. It required major repair as recently as a few weeks ago. A new iron pipe will replace 900 feet of line. It will cost just over $600,000.
