CRESCENT CITY – A special officer of the Del Norte County Search and Rescue Team has passed away.

Beloved search dog, Bodi was 17 years old and joined search and rescue back in August of 2005.

She took part in nearly 100 searches with her handler, Peggy and is credited with sixteen finds. Bodi’s area of expertise was searches, water searches, cadaver location and firearms detection. She was well rounded and highly committed. She will be sorely missed by the department for her great spirit and unparalleled service.
