Former SNL Actress Performs At Humboldt State

ARCATA – You may know her from Saturday Night Live.

This week Humboldt State University entertained their new students during Welcoming Week with a performance by comedian Sasheer Zamata, who you may know from Saturday Night Live.

Zamata appeared on SNL from January of 2014 until May of this year, and she serves as the Ambassador for Women’s Rights of the American Civil Liberties Union.

Now, Zamata is taking her comedy career on the road and performing with an emphasis on social justice, race and gender issues.

During her HSU performance, Zamata commented on her first impression of Humboldt and how green it is here.

Afterwards, Zamata held a meet-and-greet with HSU students – giving out hugs and answering questions.
