Four facing murder charges resulting from 2016 hash lab explosion

EUREKA – Four people face murder charges resulting from a hash lab explosion last year in Rio Dell.
On November 9th, 2016, Arron Michael Mohr, David Gerald Paul, Tamara Gayle Paul and Aaron Zachariah Schisler were allegedly involved in a butane hash oil extraction lab when it exploded, killing 21-year-old Xavier David Renner of San Diego.
Following a several month investigation, the case was forwarded to the District Attorney. In addition to murder, the four are charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, doing so with a volatile solvent and allowing a place for controlled substances.
Furthermore, David and Tamara Paul are accused of possession of methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms as well as child abuse relating to their 5-year-old daughter.
A warrant has been issued for Aaron Schisler who remains at large.
Mohr entered a not guilty plea at arraignment last week. David and Tamara Paul will be arraigned within 48 hours.
