Eureka Police arrest man suspected of multiple robberies

EUREKA – A man is arrested for a robbery and attempting another, and may be the culprit in a string of other robberies that took place this summer.

26-year-old Eddie Koch of Eureka is the suspect of an early morning robbery at the Patriot Gas Station on Broadway and Wabash last Thursday.

He is suspected of trying to rob the same place again the next day, but was chased off by employees and left behind identifying evidence.

Koch was found just before noon Thursday near the 1900 block of Vroadway and was booked into the Humboldt County Jail for robbery, attempted robbery, possession of a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.

Detectives are investigating whether Koch was involved in other robberies in July and August.
