Grant Elementary to hold Read-A-Thon fundraiser for victims of Helena-Fork fires

EUREKA – As firefighters continue to make progress on the Helena-Fork wildfires, Eureka students are gearing up to help victims in need.

The fire started last month and isn’t expected to be fully contained until October, and over 70 homes have been lost to the flames.

On Thursday, children of Eureka’s Grant Elementary School will take part in a Read-A-Thon fundraiser for the Trinity County Fire Relief Fund.

If you would like to sponsor a student reader, you can drop donations off at Grant Elementary School Thursday between 8:30AM and 12:30PM.

You can also donate to the relief fund online, here: https://www.hafoundation.org/Giving/Make-a-Gift-Today/Give-Now?fn=Trinity+County+Fire+Relief+Fund
