Man dies in Southern Humboldt shooting

ALDERPOINT- One man is dead after a shooting in Southern Humboldt.

On Saturday afternoon, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s office responded to Sixth Street in Alderpoint and located 58 year-old Robert James Holtsclaw who was shot dead.

The suspect is identified as 27 year-old Zachary Cordell Harrison. A witness saw Harrison standing near a gate with a firearm and later heard one gunshot.

Harrison was last seen driving a black Ford F250 truck with Oregon license plates. He’s considered armed and dangerous.
