Eureka Police Department accepting art submissions

EUREKA – Eureka’s soon-to-be Police Chief Steve Watson is trying to get comfortable in his new office, and the department is asking for art submissions to help him out.

Right now the walls his new office walls are blank, and Watson is inviting the public to help liven it up in there.

HHe’s specifically looking for a piece – photos or paintings – that represent the themes, “Making a Difference… Together,” “Team Eureka,” “Partnership, Understanding and Trust,” and/or “The police are the public and the public are police.”

To submit your art, which can be loaned or gifted, you can email a photo of it to Public Information Office Brittany Powell at bpowell@ci.eureka.ca.gov

If enough artwork is submitted, it is possible other pieces will be hung up around the other parts of the department.
