BLUE LAKE – Blue Lake residents can learn more about a proposed fire tax at Tuesday night’s city council meeting.
Fire Chief Ray Stonebarger will be on hand to answer questions about Measure Y. Measure Y would impose a parcel tax ranging from $75 to $400 depending on the type of use. That would fund fire, rescue and emergency medical services for those residing in the protection district.
Also on the agenda council is expected to adopt fees associated with personal cannabis cultivation.The proposal would cost those wishing to grow marijuana indoors $160 and would require an inspection.
The meeting begins Tuesday night at 7:00 in the Skinner Store Building behind City Hall.
