Trial date set for accused murderer Maxx Robison

EUREKA – A trial date has been set for the man accused of killing a 19-year-old woman in Eureka last year.
Maxx Carson Robison faces charges including murder, attempted murder, and assault with a deadly weapon.
Investigators say that in June of 2016, Robison fired multiple shots from an assault rifle towards a vehicle near Iowa and McCullens. One of the two occupants, Eureka resident Rihanna Skye Mckenzie, died from wounds sustained in that gunfire.
Thursday at the Humboldt County Courthouse, Judge Reinholtsen set a trial date for the case.
Robison will appear before a jury on February 26th of next year. The trial is estimated to take two to three weeks.
