6-year-old girl found in home with meth, heroin

FORTUNA – A 6-year-old was found in a Fortuna home with heroin, meth and marijuana.
Wednesday morning around 11:30, special agents served a search warrant at a residence on the 2100 block of Rohnerville Road.
Inside they found nearly six grams of heroin, eleven grams of suspected methamphetamine, three pounds of marijuana and also located evidence of drug sales.
37-year-old Elizabeth Quennel and her 6 year-old daughter were home at the time along with Quennel’s boyfriend 46-year-old Johnnie Leavens.
Officers arrested Quennel on multiple charges including drug possession, maintaining a residence for distributing a controlled substance, and child endangerment.
Leavens faces charges including possession of a narcotic and possession for sale. Both were booked into Humboldt County Jail.
The child was placed with a family member.
