Community provides Thanksgiving meal for those in need

ARCATA – Everyone deserves a hot meal, especially on Thanksgiving.

On Thursday the Arcata Community Center offered a Thanksgiving Day meal to anyone who wanted one. The Arcata House Partnership teamed up with local churches, and many others, including the Arcata High School Culinary Class, who cooked the food, the Blue Lake Rancheria, who donated turkeys, Arcata Florist, who brought in bouquets of flowers, and over 100 other volunteers who helped make today a community event in the best sense.

They’re expecting to hand out over 500 meals to those in need.
