Gary Lee Bullock’s appeal of murder conviction denied

EUREKA – California’s First District Court has denied Gary Lee Bullock’s appeal of his murder conviction.
Bullock was found guilty of murdering Father Eric Freed of Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church on New Year’s Day 2014.
Bullock was convicted of that crime along with special allegations including torture and carjacking. Facing two life sentences, Bullock filed an appeal in the First District Court last June.
Arguments in the appeal were heard December 6. And Tuesday the three justices affirmed Judge John Feeney’s decision meaning Bullock will remain incarcerated at Pleasant Valley State Prison.
