Humboldt State’s Small Business Development Center receives $1.3 million grant

ARCATA, CA. – Humboldt State University is not only a hub for students, but is a host for small business owner advising, and that program is expanding.

The Humboldt State-based Small Business Development Center has received a $1.3 million grant, and they will be taking on more responsibility.

SBDC is a nation-wide program provides free advising to small business owners.

Humboldt State has been hosting Northern California’s SBDC since 2006, and now will expand to serve those in the Central Valley.

The HSU-based center has counseled nearly 36,000 small businesses since being founded.
