Man wanted for violent threats against law enforcement officers tells Humboldt dispatchers his location

GARBERVILLE, CA. – A man wanted for threatening Del Norte County law enforcement officers aids in his own arrest.

While driving on Highway 101, the wanted man called Humboldt County dispatchers and told them where he was.

31-year-old Mark William Albert had a warrant out for his arrest after he allegedly made violent threats against Del Norte County Sheriff Erik Apperson and his family, as well as to other Del Norte officers.

He was considered armed and dangerous.

On Wednesday at 7PM, while driving north out of Mendocino, Albert called Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers and told them his location.

Humboldt deputies spotted Albert’s car near Garberville, and he was taken into custody without incident at Shively Road.
